❏ Use a cotton swab or soft cloth moistened with alcohol (ethyl or isopropyl
alcohol) to wipe off the thermal element of the print head.
Important!
Never use sharp tools like a knife or abrasive materials such as sandpaper or
clean the thermal element. Doing so will seriously damage your printer.
❏ Clean the platen, turning it occasionally to make sure you wipe its entire
surface.
❏ Remove any dust or paper lint (which can adhere to paper and cause poor
printing) from inside the printer.
❏ After cleaning the receipt printer, replace the platen cover and return the
thermal head unit to its original position.
❏ Load thermal roll paper (page 9) and close the printer cover.
Important!
Always wait until the alcohol has dried completely before using the receipt
printer after cleaning it.
