H.323 Services
H.323 Service prefixes are used for IP endpoints to access the ISDN network. Up to twenty prefixes can be
defined, but we recommend using one single prefix for simplicity.
Default H.323 Services are ‘0’ for Video calls and ‘1’ for Telephone calls. Should other H.323 Services be required,
they can be entered here.
Description
Used to identify the H.323 Service.
Service
Specifies the gateway service prefix that all IP endpoints must use when dialing from IP to ISDN. There can be up
to 20 different H.323 Services.
If you have multiple gateways they should use the
same Service prefixes. Then it can be useful to use
“H.323 Load Balance” to balance resource usage
between the gateways.
IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS DIALING A CONFIGURED H.323 SERVICE,
CHECK THAT THE SERVICE PREFIX IS REGISTERED ON THE
GATEKEEPER AS A GATEWAY SERVICE. IT COULD ALREADY BE
REGISTERED AS ANOTHER SERVICE.
