INKEY$
Function Provides the leading character if any key is pressed on the keyboard, or provides a
null string if no key is pressed on the keyboard.
Format INKEY$
Explanation The number of characters provided for the INKEY$ variable is 0 (null string) or 1. It is
determined according to the key entry.
“0” indicates that key entry is not performed.
The INKEY$ function does not display the key entry on the screen.
