Network Scanning
Public and Private Templates
A template can contain either a public or private filing location
or repository.
Public Repository If a user selects a template that contains a public filing location
the scan job will be filed to that location without the user having
to enter a password to access the filing location.
Private Repository If a user selects a template that contains a private filing
location, a password must be entered for that job to be
successfully filed.
NOTE: If a template containing a private filing location is
selected and a password has not been entered then a pop-up
reminder will be displayed when Start is selected.
¾ Load the documents in the
Document Feeder or place
on the Document Glass.
¾ Select [All Services] and
then [Network Scanning].
¾ Select [Refresh List] to
update the template list.
¾ Select the template required.
If the template has been
configured with a Public
Repository:
¾ Select [Start]. The job will be
scanned, an electronic file
created and the file sent to
the destination as specified in
the chosen template.
HINT: The Summary Box on the right hand side of the
screen displays information about the template. Refer to
page 6-3 for more information.
