Tones
The WorkCentre generates tones to indicate the operational status of
the machine.
• Single short tone — A confirmation tone. A short tone sounds
when a key is pressed or when an action completes successfully.
• Extended tone — Signifies an unsuccessful operation. An
extended tone (two to five seconds) occurs when a transaction
does not complete normally. The user must perform an action to
continue a process. Refer to the display messages in the
Advanced Features Guide.
