Scope
ThisaddendumcontainsinformationaboutthenewCalibrationfeatures
addedtotheZebraA300andZebraT300printerswhenupgradedwiththe
25.8.1and23.8.1and later versionsoffirmwarerespectively.
Calibration
Auto-Calibration
Theprinteronlyauto-calibrateswhenusingnon-continuousmedia(a
gap,notch,orblackmarkseparateseachlabel).Duringthisprocess,the
printersetsthesensorlevelsfor,anddeterminesthelengthof,thelabels
beingused.(Tocalibratetheprinterformediawithpre-printedlabelsor
pre-printedbacking,see“ManualCalibration.”)
ThefirsttimetheprinteristurnedON,auto-calibrationsensesifcontinu-
ousmediaisloaded.Ifthismediaisused,thelabellengthmustbeset
throughthelabelpreparationsoftwarebeingused.
NOTE:Ifcontinuousmediaissensed,non-continuousmediacan
notbeuseduntilyoueither(a)resetthefactorydefaults(see
“FeedKeyTroubleshootingModesinthe"OperatingtheSys-
tem"sectionoftheprinteruser'sguide),or(b)refertoyourlabel
preparationsoftwareuser’smanual.
Toauto-calibrate:
1.LoadthemediaaccordingtotheinstructionsinSettingUp
theZebraPrinterintheprinteruser’sguide.
2.TurntheprinterpowerON.
3.Someblanklabelswillfeed,completingtheauto-calibration
process.
4.IftheFaultLED(A300)orPowerLED(T300)beginsflashing,
refertotheManualCalibrationprocess.
Remember:
Auto-calibrationisperformedwhentheprinteristurnedON
andwheneveranerrorconditioniscleared.
SingleflashingoftheA300FaultLEDindicatesa
PRINTHEADOPENcondition.SingleflashingoftheT300
PowerLEDindicatesanErrorcondition.
DoubleflashingoftheLED(A300FaultLED-T300Power
LED)indicatesaprinterPAUSEDmode.PresstheFEED
Buttonandtheprinterwillauto-calibrate.
