CHAPTER 70
VLAN Stacking Commands
Use these commands to add an outer VLAN tag to the inner IEEE 802.1Q tagged frames that
enter your network.
70.1 Command Summary

list>
Enters config-interface mode for the specified port(s). C 13
vlan-stacking priority <0-7> Sets the priority of the specified port(s) in port-based VLAN
stacking.

vlan-stacking role
<normal|access|tunnel>
Sets the VLAN stacking port roles of the specified port(s).
normal: The Switch ignores frames received (or transmitted)
on this port with VLAN stacking tags.
access: the Switch adds the SP TPID tag to all incoming
frames received on this port.
tunnel: (available for Gigabit and faster ports only) for
egress ports at the edge of the service provider's network.
Note: In order to support VLAN stacking on a port,
the port must be able to allow frames of
1526 Bytes (1522 Bytes + 4 Bytes for the
second tag) to pass through it.

vlan-stacking SPVID <1-4094> Sets the service provider VID of the specified port(s). C 13
vlan-stacking tunnel-tpid
<tpid>
Sets a four-digit hexadecimal number from
0000 to FFFF that the Switch adds in the outer VLAN tag of
the outgoing frames sent on the tunnel port(s).

cvid <vlan-id>
Removes the specified selective VLAN stacking rule. C 13
