Section 1: Unpack
1-1. Contents of Shipping Box
The 3MMultimedia Projector MP8650 is shipped with the necessary cables required for standard VCR, PC,
Apple Macintosh or laptop computer connections. Carefully unpack and verify that you have all of the items
shown below in Figure 1-1.

Note
To operate the Apple Macintosh mouse button functions
via the MP8650 remote control transmitter requires the
Apple Macintosh Mouse Receiver (accessory part). See
Section 10 to order.
1-3. Keep Your Packing Materials
Save the shipping box and packing materials in the event the MP8650 should require shipping to a 3M Service
Center for repair. The zoom lens should be completely retracted before shipping this product.
1-4. What’s Next?
After you have unpacked the MP8650 system and identified all the parts, you are ready to set up the projector.
Take a few minutes to review Section 2 to familiarize yourself with the MP8650 machine characteristics and
then turn to Section 3 to set up the projector.
