7 Insert a drive module into the AcerMedia bay. The bay release
latch locks in place.
8 Turn the computer over.
9 Open the display cover.
Replacing the hard disk
You can upgrade your hard disk with a higher capacity drive when you
need more storage space. The computer uses a 9.5 mm, 2.5-inch,
Enhanced-IDE hard disk.
Note:
You can upgrade the hard disk using a new hard disk
module kit, or you can also use the old hard disk bracket with a
new hard disk. Consult your dealer for more information.
Follow these steps:
1 Turn off the computer, unplug the AC adapter (if connected), and
remove the battery pack. Then turn the computer over to access
its base.
2 Locate the hard disk bay. Remove the hard disk bay screw (a);
then pull out and remove the hard disk bay cover.
