ACPI Function
This item allows
you to enable/disable
the Advanced Configuration and
Power
Management
(ACPI).
The
options
available
are
Enabled,
Disabled.
Power Management
This option allows
you to select the type
(or degree)
of
power saving
for
Doze, Standby, and Suspend modes. The
table below describes each
power management
mode:
Max Saving
Maximum
power
savings. Only Available for SL CPUs.
Inactivity
period is
1 minute i

each mode.
User Define
Sets each mode individually. Select
time-out periods in
the PM
Timers section,
following.
Min Saving
Minimum power
savings.
Inactivity period is 1 hour in

(except the hard
drive).

PM Control by

If
Advanced
Power
Management
(APM)
is
installed
on
your
system,
selecting Yes gives better power savings. The default value is

BIOS
will ignore A
PM when
power managing
the
system

APM’s prompt
before
it enters

PM mode (i.e.,
