Getting to Know Your eMac
This chapter gives you some basic information you’ll
need to know about your eMac.
Read on for an overview of the different parts of your computer and Mac OS X, and
summary information on common tasks such as customizing the way your desktop
looks, connecting to a printer, playing a CD, connecting a digital camera, using the
Internet, getting answers when you need help, and more.
Using the Applications That Came With Your eMac
Your eMac comes with several fun, useful, easy-to-use software applications that let
you do things like transfer your music from your CD collection to your computer and
organize the songs, easily create new music on your computer, send email, browse the
web, chat with friends, edit home movies, organize your schedule, write letters and
create other documents, and much more.
For more information about these applications, see the
Welcome to Panther
booklet
that came with your eMac. Or, simply open any application and choose the
application’s help from the Help menu (for example, open iTunes and choose
Help > iTunes Help).
