cards, load them with the
shorter side as the leading
edge, as shown.

Do not load 4 × 6 L (A6) cards
crosswise, as shown.

Tip
Before loading envelopes,
press them down to make sure
that all air is removed, and
make sure that the folds of the
flaps are firmly pressed, other-
wise the envelopes may be-
come wrinkled or a paper
misfeed may occur. Load the
envelopes with the shorter side
as the leading edge and with
the side to be printed on facing
up, as shown in the illustration.
