Quick-Dial numbers and dialling options
Search
You can search for names you have stored in One-Touch and
Speed-Dial memories. (See Storing One-Touch Dial numbers on
page 7-1 and Storing Speed-Dial numbers on page 7-2.)

Pick up the handset.
—OR—
Press Speaker Phone (FAX-T106 only).

Press Search/Mute, then enter the first letter of the name you
are looking for by using the dial pad.

Press or to search the names that are displayed
alphabetically.

When the screen displays the name you want to call, press
Fax Start to begin dialling.

To hang up, replace the handset.

Press Speaker Phone (FAX-T106 only).
Pause
Press Redial/Pause to insert a 3.5-second pause between
numbers. If you are dialling overseas, you can press Redial/Pause
as many times as needed to increase the length of the pause.
Mute

Press Search/Mute to put a call on hold.

You can replace the handset without disconnecting the call.

Pick up the fax machine’s handset or press Speaker Phone
(FAX-T106 only) to release the call from hold.
If you press Search/Mute without lifting the handset or pressing
Speaker Phone (FAX-T106 only), this key works as the Search
key.
Answering Calls with the Speaker Phone
(FAX-T106 only)
When the machine rings, instead of lifting the handset, press
Speaker Phone. Speak clearly, toward the microphone. To end
the call, press Speaker Phone.
If you have a bad telephone line connection, the other party might
hear your voice echoed during the call. Hang up and try the call
again—OR—Pick up the handset.
For FAX-T106, you can select to play or not to play a music
during a call put on hold. (See Setting the Music on Hold on
page 4-6.)
