4. LEARN Menu
4.1 Merriam-Webster’s
Vocabulary Builder
This feature helps you enhance your
vocabulary with explanations and
quizzes.
1. In the Learn menu, press /
to select “Merriam-Webster’s
Vocabulary Builder” and then press
OK / .
2. The words are grouped into units.
Press / to select a unit and then
press OK / .
• Apreviewofthewordsinthecurrent
unit shows on the right of the screen
when a unit is highlighted for about 3
seconds.
3. Press / to select a word and
then press OK / .
• PressFN + / to go to the
previous or next word.
• Ifyouwanttohearthepronunciation
of a word, press OK / to highlight
the rst word on the screen. Use
the direction keys to highlight the
word and then press to hear it
pronounced. When done, press
or to turn o the highlight.
• Presslist to save the current
headword in My Word List for further
study or review. See 3.16 Adding
Words to My Word List and 4.5 My
Word List.
4. Press to return to the list of
words.
Searching
• PressF1 [ ] to type a word for
searching.
• PressF1 [ ] to return to the list of
units.
Quizzes
Quizzes are available in each unit.
1. Press or in each unit to go
to the bottom of the word list to
select “Review Quizzes”.
• Iftherearemultiplequizzes,press /
a quiz and then press OK / .
