Warranty, Technical Support, and Repair
Your HP CapShare appliance sets the standard for quality and reliability, so you have made an excellent
choice. HP Customer Care, HP's award-winning product service and support, also backs the HP
CapShare appliance. While HP products set the standard for quality and reliability, if there are any
problems while your product is under warranty, we will repair or replace it at no charge. You also have
access to HP Customer Care phone support under your product's standard warranty. And, you can
always take advantage of our free 24-hour electronic web support. These programs and others are
described in the paragraphs below.
Your HP CapShare 920 portable e-copier warranty
Hewlett-Packard warrants this product against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of
one year from receipt by the customer unless an alternate warranty coverage is selected by the
customer. If Hewlett-Packard receives notice of such defects during the warranty period, Hewlett-
Packard will, at its option, either repair or replace products which prove to be defective.
Should Hewlett-Packard be unable to repair or replace the product within a reasonable amount of time,
the customer’s alternative remedy shall be a refund of the purchase price upon the return of the product
to Hewlett-Packard.
This warranty gives the customer specific legal rights. Other rights, which vary from state to state or
province to province, may be available.
Exclusions
The above warranty shall not apply to defects resulting from improper or inadequate maintenance by
the customer, customer-supplied software or interfacing, unauthorized modifications or misuse,
operation outside of the environmental specifications for the product, or improper site preparation and
maintenance.
Note
This warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged by accident or misuse.
Warranty Limitations
HEWLETT-PACKARD MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTY, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT
TO THIS PRODUCT. HEWLETT-PACKARD SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
In any state or province that does not allow the foregoing disclaimer, any implied warranty of
merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose imposed by law in those states or provinces is limited
to the one-year duration of the written warranty.

THE REMEDIES PROVIDED HEREIN ARE THE CUSTOMER’S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES. IN NO
EVENT SHALL HEWLETT-PACKARD BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL
THEORY.
In any state or province that does not allow the foregoing exclusion or limitation of incidental or
consequential damages, the customer may have other remedies.
