For AppleTalk users, must be running software version 1.3.28 or later.
FDDI Port service can only be bounded to VLAN 1. RIP must be ‘active’ to
route traffic from one VLAN to another across FDDI.
The FDDI driver execution requires five to six seconds longer than the ATM
Uplink driver. This is considered normal operation. The initial installation of
the FDDI Uplink will delay the login prompt for approximately 30 seconds
while the configuration file is updated.

FDDI:
Problem:
The HiSpeed switch is only forwarding broadcast and multicast
traffic but not unicast traffic to an Ethernet device directly attached
to the HiSpeed switch.
Solution:
Use the following solutions:
Verify that physical port 34 is active using
vvp
.
If the bridge mode is set to Forwarding, verify that the MAC address
of the targeted Ethernet device has been learned in the FDDI
Forwarding table. This means that either the Ethernet device has to
initiate the connection to the switch or reply to an ARP request.
!
Caution:
It is important not to interrupt the boot up sequence during this
process by either pressing the front panel Reset switch, or cycling power.
Note:
If the HiSpeed Switch is reset by one of these methods during either
of the configuration file updates (or even possibly during the driver
execution), the FLASH may become corrupted and the switch will
subsequently not boot. A FLASH format and Zap of the firmware will be
required to recover.
