Using the SD Memory Card Slot
Your PC has an SD memory card slot.
An SD memory card or multimedia card can be used.
When you use an SD memory card, remove the dummy card from the SD memory card slot.
1. Remove the dummy card.
2. Insert an SD memory card.
Caution: Insert the SD card in the correct direction.
Notes
• The SD memory card and multimedia card are optional.
• The SD memory card slot of your PC does not support the SD I/O function and data
transfer using the copyright protection functions.
• If you do not use an SD memory card on your PC, keep the dummy card inserted in the
slot to prevent dust or other foreign bodies getting into the PC.
• When formatting an SD memory card or MultiMedia card in this PC’s SD memory card
slot for use in a DVC or digital camera, first select [FAT] rather than [FAT32] on the Windows
XP format screen, and then proceed with the formatting.
* Before formatting a memory card, back up its contents on the PC’s hard disk drive, for
instance.
1 Press the dummy card slightly, and it will be ejected.
2 Hold the ejected card and remove it from your PC.
