Setting the Scan Mode
The setting of scan mode can be set with Polygon Editing Tool software, and the setting is the top priority. It
is not required to set by VIVID 9i.
If you are not making scan settings from your PC’s software (for example, if using a customized program),
please make the settings at the digitizer itself.
Only settings are explained here.
Note
These settings become effective from the time of next start.
Item Explanation
INITIAL MODE Selects one of the preset scan modes.
DIGITIZE
Selects the scan mode.
• STANDARD: Allowable distance is 600 to 1000 mm.
The following initial conditions cannot be changed:
NOISE FILTER: ON; HIGH QUALITY: ON
• EXTENDED: Allowable distance is 500 to 2500 mm.
The following initial conditions cannot be changed:
NOISE FILTER: ON; HIGH QUALITY: OFF
• USER: Allowable distance is 500 to 2500 mm.
Initial conditions can be changed as desired.
COLOR
Selects the color mode for image capture.
• ON: Full color
• OFF: No image
INITIAL CONDITION
Makes settings that are more detailed than the initial mode settings. Available set-
tings vary according to the selected initial mode.
Initial conditions that cannot be changed (as determined by the DIGITIZE scan
mode) are not displayed.
NUMBER OF
SCANS
Sets number of scans. Allows for increased dynamic range.
NOISE FILTER If ON, noise filtering is applied to scan data.
HIGH QUALITY If ON, unreliable scan data is discarded.
DARK
If ON, dark correction is applied to color data. Use this feature when you want to
remove the CCD offset components and get the signal components only. This set-
ting is not shown if INITIAL MODE-COLOR is set to OFF.>
LOG
If ON, log correction is applied to color data. Use this feature when you want to
brighten intermediate colors. This setting is not shown if INITIAL MODE-COLOR
is set to OFF.
