3. Using Your LaCie d2 Blu-ray Drive
3.1. Inserting Discs
To insert a disc, push the Open/Close (A) button on
your LaCie d2 Blu-ray Drive. When the disc tray opens,
put the BD, DVD or CD media into the tray with the
label side facing up. Make sure the BD, DVD or CD is
correctly placed in the center of the disc tray. Push the
Open/Close button (A) to close it.
Do not attempt to force the door open, you will dam-
age the drive. e power must be on in order to open the
drive (ie the blue button must be lit). e drive must be
on a flat surface to work correctly.
To close your LaCie d2 Blu-ray Drive, press the
Open/Close button on the front of the drive.
Pushing the media tray closed is not recommended.
CAUTION:
Do not force the tray closed. You will damage
the drive.
Always remove discs before transporting the
drive.
Never move the drive while it is in operation.

3.2. Accessing Discs
Mac Users
e BD, DVD or CD volume will appear as an icon
on the Desktop. Click on the icon to access the contents
of the BD, DVD or CD.
Windows Users
e BD, DVD or CD volume will appear in your
My Computer folder. Click on the icon to access the
contents of the disc.
