4. Secure the keyboard by tightening the screws from the bottom side of the computer.
1050 Palm rest or palm rest with ngerprint reader
For access, remove this FRU in order:
• “1010 Battery pack” on page 71
• “1040 Keyboard” on page 77
Note: In models with the ngerprint reader, the sensor is attached to the palm rest FRU. If the ngerprint
reader has any defects, you can replace it by the procedures given in this section, which are the same
for a palm rest with or without a ngerprint reader.
