VOIPunitcurrentlybeingcontrolledbythe MultiVOIPinterface(the‘homeVOIP’),CallName
IdentificationsendsanidentifierandstatusinformationtotheadministratoroftheremoteVOIP
involvedinthecall.Thefeatureoperatesonachannel‐by‐channelbasis(eachchannelcanhavea
separateidentifier).
IfthehomeVOIPisoriginatingthecall,onlytheCallingPartyfieldisapplicable.IfthehomeVOIP
isreceivingthecall,thentheAlertingParty,BusyParty,and
ConnectedPartyfieldsaretheonly
applicablefields(andanyorallofthesecouldbeenabledforagivenVOIPchannel).Thestatus
informationconfirmsbacktotheoriginatorthatthehomeVOIP,iseitherbusy,orringing,orthatthe
intendedcallhasbeencompletedandiscurrentlyconnected.
TheidentifierandstatusinformationaremadeavailabletotheremoteVOIPunitandappearin
theCallerIDfieldofitsStatistics–CallProgresswindow.(ThisishowMultiVOIPunitshandleCNI
