Caller ID
Caller ID service from your phone company!
This unit is compatible with the Caller ID service offered by your local telephone
company. To use this feature, you must subscribe to Caller ID service.
How Caller ID is displayed
Set the following ring count settings to 2 or more rings beforehand.
— TAD ring count and FAX ring count (feature #06 on page 83)
— TEL/FAX ring count (feature #78 on page 88)
Note:
●
If the unit is connected to a PBX (Private Branch Exchange) system, you may not receive the caller’s
information. Consult your PBX supplier.
●
If the unit cannot receive caller information, the unit will show the following.
Main unit Handset

The caller dialed from an area
which does not provide a Caller
ID service.
The caller requested not to send
any information.
The caller made a long distance
call.

The calling party’s name or telephone number will be displayed after the first ring.
You then have the option of whether or not to answer the call depending on the caller.
Using the main unit Using the handset
Example:
The unit will automatically store the caller’s information (name and telephone number) and the time
of the call. You can view the caller’s information (p. 41, 42) and print the Caller ID list (p. 43).

To check the number of new calls
While the handset is on the main unit:
If you have received 10 new calls, the handset
will show the following.
Example:
When you lift the handset, the display changes
to the following.
