Polycom RMX 1500/2000/4000 Getting Started Guide for Audio Only
3-23
Using the Default Profile, Entry Queue and
Meeting Rooms
The Conferencing entities, such as Entry Queues, Meeting Rooms,
ongoing Conferences and Reservations enable both audio and video
connections. The same conferencing entity can be used to connect only
voice participants, video participants or a combination of both audio and
video participants. The participant connection type determines the
resource type that is used by the system.
If all RMX resources are configured as Voice resources, only voice
participants can connect to the RMX even if the Conference Profile include
video parameters. Video participants will connect to such MCU using
only their audio channel (without video) and will use one voice resource
as any other voice endpoint.
The default Entry Queue and Meeting Rooms shipped with the system
can be used to run conference without additional definitions. However, if
required, you can define additional conference Profiles, Entry Queues and
Meeting Rooms. For more information, see the RMX 1500/2000/4000
Administrator’s Guide.
