Turning the computer on

Install the battery and connect the AC adapter.
(Refer to the Installation Guide.).

Slide the LCD Latch to the right and then lift up the
LCDpanel.

Press the Power buttontoturnthecomputeron.
Note

IfyoupressandreleasethePowerbuttonon
thecomputerwhenitison,thecomputerenters
Sleepmode.

Whenrunningthecomputeronbatterypower,the
LCDbrightnessisdimmedautomaticallytosave
batterypower.
Press the Fn+ ( ) key to increase the LCD
brightness.

theRegisterWindowsscreenappears.Youcan
use the computer after registering your user
information.

Click the Start ( )buttononthetaskbar.

Click the ( ) and click on Shut down.
Thecomputerwillshutdown.

Before Using the Power Button
SincethePowerIconissettopowersavingmode,
selecting Start > Power Button ( ),willcause
the computer to enter Sleep mode.
Toshutdownthecomputerbyclickingthisicon,
refer to the descriptions for Setting up Start menu
powerbuttonoftheControlPanel.

Whenthesystemcannotbeshutdownduetoa
systemerror,turnitoffbypressingandholdingthe
PowerButtonforlongerthan4seconds.
However,turningthecomputeroffbythismethod
maycauseasystemproblem.Thereafter,when
turningthecomputerbackon,thediskchecking
program may launch to check for and correct any
diskerrors.
