Basic Operation
Press the POWER ON/STAND-BY button on the top control
or on the remote control. “Power off?” appears on the
screen. Press the POWER ON/STAND-BY button again to
turn off the projector.
When the Power off confirmation function is set to “Off,”
the projector can be turned off without the confirmation
message. (See “Power off confirmation” on page 38.)
The automatic slide shutter closes and the POWER indicator
starts to blink red. The blinking continues for about 60
seconds while the cooling fans are running.

LAMP LIFE.

When the projector is cooled down enough to be turned on
again, the POWER indicator becomes red. Then you can turn
the Main On/Off switch off and unplug the AC power cord.
“Power off?” disappears after 4 seconds.
Tu r ning Off the Projector
✔Notes:
•If the automatic slide shutter is closed during operation, the projector is automatically
turned off for safety. Be sure to turn off the projector by pressing the POWER
ON/STAND-BY button on the top control or on the remote control after use.
• While the POWER indicator is blinking, the lamp is being cooled down and the
projector cannot be turned on. Wait until the POWER indicator becomes red to be
turned on again.
•Do not operate the projector continuously without rest. Continuous use may result in
shortening the lamp life. Turn off the projector and let stand for about an hour in
every 24 hours.
• The running speed of cooling fans is changed according to the temperature inside
the projector.
• If the WARNING indicator blinks or emits red light, see “Warning Indicator” on page
42.
• Do not put the projector in a case before it is cooled enough.
