TABLE 18 Connectivity Map -TCPIP Outbound Settings - ClientConnection Establishment
(Continued)
Name Description
Auto ReconnectUpon
Matching Failure
An indicator orwhether to attempt to reconnect automaticallywhen the adapter
gets a matchingconnection from a container, even thoughthis connection is not
valid; for example, the external side of the connectionis closed or reset due tothe
external application’s logic.
Select one ofthe following options:
true Theadapter discards the invalid matching connectionand
automatically attempts toreconnect using a new connection.
false Theadapter does not automatically attempt toreconnect using a new
connection. Instead, the adapter defers the reconnect controlto the user
business rules. Itis up to the businessrules to detect this type offailure and act
appropriately.
Max Connection Retry The maximum numberof times the adapter attempts toconnect to a specic
external TCP/IP destination(host/port) before giving up.
Retry Connection
Interval
The length oftime (in milliseconds) the adapter waitsbetween attempts to
connect to aspecic external TCP/IP destination (host orport).

TCP/IP HL7 V2 Outbound Adapter
The following table lists and describes the properties that appear on the Server Port Binding
page of the Properties Editor accessed from the Connectivity Map. The properties dene the
server port binding retry options. This section is only used when the Connection Type under
TCPIP Outbound Settings is set to Server.
