EachePWMmoduleisconnectedtosixTZnsignals(TZ1toTZ6)thataresourcedfromtheGPIOMUX.
Thesesignalsindicateexternalfaultortripconditions,andtheePWMoutputscanbeprogrammedto
respondaccordinglywhenfaultsoccur.
ThekeyfunctionsoftheTrip-Zonesubmoduleare:
•TripinputsTZ1toTZ6canbeflexiblymappedtoanyePWMmodule.
•Uponafaultcondition,outputsEPWMxAandEPWMxBcanbeforcedtooneofthefollowing:
–High
–Low
–High-impedance
–Noactiontaken
•Supportforone-shottrip(OSHT)formajorshortcircuitsorover-currentconditions.
•Supportforcycle-by-cycletripping(CBC)forcurrentlimitingoperation.
•Eachtrip-zoneinputpincanbeallocatedtoeitherone-shotorcycle-by-cycleoperation.
•Interruptgenerationispossibleonanytrip-zonepin.
•Software-forcedtrippingisalsosupported.
•Thetrip-zonesubmodulecanbefullybypassedifitisnotrequired.
