required to be turned on. This would allow the lp system account to have access to
the settings file stored in the user’s home directory.
If you’re having a problem printing in your system, check if the user’s home
directory satisfies the condition described above. Use ls –l /home if the user’s
home directory has executable access. If not, you can turn it on using “chmod o+x
/home/userdirectory”.
