System requirements
Connect your TF 461 to a computer which
meets the following system requirements:
CPU:
• i80386SX (or higher)
RAM:
• min. 4 MB
Hard disk space:
• min. 5 MB free space
Software:
• MS-DOS version 5.0 or higher;
• Microsoft Windows version 3.0/3.1
or higher (in extended -386 enhanced-
mode)
• Microsoft Windows 95
• IBM OS/2 1.3/2.0 or higher
If you would like additional information for
installing the printer drivers, you can read
or print out the README.TXT file. After
the printer driver has been installed, this
file can be found in the directory
\PRTCIJP.
Connecting the fax
machine to the
computer
The TF 461 has an 8-bit Centronics
parallel interface. Perform the following
steps to connect the TF 461 to your
computer:
1. Disconnect the TF 461 from the main
supply.
2. Switch your computer off.
3. Connect a parallel cable to the
corresponding socket on the rear of hte
TF461.
Parallel printer cable not supplied.
4. Secure the connector on the parallel cable
by means of the wire clips.
5. Connect the other and of the parallel cable
to a spare parallel port on your PC.
Parallel cables should be no longer
then 2 meters.
