Dolby Home Theater
Dolby Home Theater
®
places listeners in the middle of the onscreen action
for a cinema-style experience at home or on the go. Featuring powerful and
advanced audio technologies, Dolby Home Theater allows listeners to
enjoy music, movies, and games in vivid surround sound using two to eight
speakers or any set of headphones.
Dolby Home Theater technologies:
Dolby Pro Logic
®
IIx - Expands any existing stereo- or 5.1-channel
audio from movies, music, TV, or game audio source to a 6.1- or 7.1-
channel playback.
Dolby Headphone - Personal surround sound using any set of
headphones so listeners feel like the action is happening all around
them.
Sound Space Expander - Widens the sound experience to 'wrap'
around the listener.
Natural Bass - Extends the bass response of any speakers by up to an
octave.
Dolby Digital Live - Converts any audio signal from a PC into Dolby
Digital for easy connection to home theater systems.
To open the user interface of Dolby Home Theater, follow the steps below.
1. Using a mouse or the computer's control buttons, click the speaker icon
on the Taskbar and select Playback Devices in the sub menu.
2. On the Playback tab, select Speakers, and click Properties.
3. Click the Dolby tab.
To enable Dolby Digital Live, follow the steps below.
1. Connect an optical cable to the Headphone/S/PDIF/Line-out jack.
2. The pop-up dialog of "The current connected device is:" will
automatically open.
3. Select S/PDIF-Out and click OK.
4. On the Realtek HD Audio Manager, click Digital Output.
5. Click the Dolby Digital Live button.
6. Set up an optical digital correspondence apparatus.
7. Then connect the other end of the optical cable to the apparatus.
