4.11 Touch pad/Fingerprint sensor board 4 Replacement Procedures

5. Stick a new touch pad button cover to the cover assembly and peel off the
separators of the touch pad button and cover assembly.
NOTE: When setting the touch pad button cover, be sure to secure the latches in the
order of the number marked on the figure below.
6. Stick a new touch pad in place.
7. Connect the FP FFC to the connector CN3650 on the fingerprint sensor board and
connector CN9551 on the TP board.
8. Connect the TP FFC to the connector CN3240 on the fingerprint sensor board and
connector on the touch pad.
9. Connect the TP board FFC to the connector CN3380 on the TP board.
CAUTION: When removing (peeling) the touch pad, wipe off the double-sided tape on
the cover assembly. Stick new double-sided tape on the cover assembly.
A new double-sided tape is stuck to a new touch pad button cover and cover
assembly. The double-side tapes on the touch pad button cover and cover
assembly are shown in the figure below.
