2.11 Wireless LAN or Wireless LAN +Bluetooth Troubleshooting
To check if the computer’s Wireless LAN is malfunctioning or not, follow the troubleshooting
procedures below as instructed.
Also in a wireless LAN +Bluetooth module, it checks by the same method except a test
program.
Procedure 1: Transmitting-Receiving Check
Procedure 2: Antennas’ Connection Check
Procedure 3: Replacement Check
2.11.1 Procedure 1 Transmitting-Receiving Check
Check 1 Execute Wireless LAN test or Bluetooth test program to check the transmitting-
receiving function of wireless LAN or Bluetooth. You will need a second computer
that can communicate by wireless LAN or Bluetooth. Perform the test following
the instructions described in Chapter 3, Tests and Diagnostics.
If the computer passes the test, the function is correctly working. If the computer
does not pass the test, perform Procedure 2.
2.11.2 Procedure 2 Antennas' Connection Check
The wireless LAN or Bluetooth function-wiring diagram is shown below:
In addition, the antenna used by Wireless LAN and Bluetooth function is
common use.
Any of the connections may be defective. Disassemble the computer following the steps
described in Chapter 4, Replacement Procedures, and perform the following checks:
