Appendix B.3: Problem determination
• What action do I take if a communication error occurs during the
upgrade process?
If the microcode download fails while you are using the TCP/IP boot
server, power the Xerox 4500 PS TR off and back on again.
If a baseblock checksum error occurs during microcode download,
download via the centronics port is the only way to upgrade the
microcode (below is shown LED status if a baseblock checksum
error occurs):
