3.9 About the PING function
The ICMP PING function sends an echo request to the PrintServer stated
in the IP address. The PING function is useful for:
- Determining the status of the network and various foreign hosts
- Tracking and isolating hardware and software probl ems.
- Testing, measuring and managing networks.
