If you alter the console port settings and select
OK
,
you terminate any existing session using the console
port. To avoid terminating the session
completely
,
ensure that the settings are correct and that the
connected equipment’s settings match the new
configuration.
If you change the console port parameters with
Auto Config already set to Enabled, or if you change
Auto Config to Enabled, you need to perform the
wake-up
procedure before communication is
re-established, see
“Main Banner” on page 5-6
.
If you are unsure of the correct settings to use, refer to
the manual for your terminal or modem.
If you
change the settings by accident, return them to their
default settings (shown on these pages as the
underlined values).
