SENDING DOCUMENTS
Delayed sending
Your fax can send a document automatically at a preset time. This allows you to take advantage of lower
late-night long-distance rates offered by some telephone companies.

Load the document face up into the document tray.
See Loading documents, p. 3-2.
You can set the scanning resolution and contrast (see p. 5-1).

Press [Function].

Press [Send Options].

] to select DELAYED TX.

Press [Start/Copy].

Enter the desired sending time (24-hour clock)
using the numeric buttons.
Set the time using the 24-hour clock system.
Precede single digits with a zero.
Example: 3:00 p.m. = 15:00
Press [Clear] if you need to re-enter the time.
You can also use [

] or [

] to move the cursor.

Press [Start/Copy].

Enter the receiving party’s fax number.
You can enter the receiving party’s fax number using the
numeric buttons, one-touch speed dialling, coded speed
dialling, or directory dialling (see pp. 5-5, 5-6).
If you use the numeric buttons, press [Start/Copy] after
entering the number to register it before going on to the next
number.

Press [Start/Copy] twice.
The fax scans the document into memory.

When the set time comes, the fax dials and sends
the document.
