Chapter 3 Paper and Ribbon

3 Using Narrow Ribbon (Ribbon Tension Adjustments)
If ribbon slips or wrinkles during printing, adjust the ribbon tension.
The printer has already been factory-set to the ribbon width of 114 mm (4.5 in). When you use
a different ribbon, adjust the ribbon tension as follows:
1. Hold the ribbon roll by one hand on the side of the knob you operate so that it does not
turn.
2. Slightly push the knob to the ribbon roll and turn it until the stopper comes to the desired
position.
3. Gradually release the knob so that the stopper fits in the groove on the side of the knob.
