External Storage NAS System Drive Configuration
The NAS system in an external storage configuration uses software RAID with two internal SATA hard drives for its operating system. See Table3-5 and
Figure3-3. The working copies of the Windows Storage Server 2003 operating system and boot sectors are installed on the two hard drives in partitions that
are in a RAID 1 mirrored configuration. Data can be stored only on external storage drives attached to the system through a RAID controller.
