SSID Broadcast- Enable the SSID Broadcast feature to announce the SSID across
the network. Enabling this will allow you to use XP’s site survey
tools. Disabling SSID Broadcast can be a useful security mea-
sure.
Fragmentation-
The fragmentation threshold, which is specified in bytes, deter-
mines whether packets will be fragmented. Packets exceeding
the 1600 byte setting will be fragmented before transmission.
1600 is the default setting.
Beacon Interval-
Beacons are packets sent by an Access Point to synchronize a
wireless network. Specify a value. 100 is the default setting and
is recommended.
RTS Threshold-
This value should remain at its default setting of 250. If you en-
counter inconsistent data flow, only minor modifications should
be made within the value range of 0-3000.
Apply- Click Apply if you have made any changes.
