Viewing Accounts
To view the accounts that have been created, you must have administrator privileges. Use the following
command to see the accounts:
show accounts
Deleting an Account
To delete a account, you must have administrator privileges. To delete an account, use the following
command:
delete account <username>
NOTE
The account name admin cannot be deleted.
Domain Name Service Client Services
The Domain Name Service (DNS) client in ExtremeWare augments the following commands to allow
them to accept either IP addresses or host names:
telnet
download [bootrom | configuration | image]
upload configuration
ping
traceroute
In addition, the nslookup utility can be used to return the IP address of a hostname.
Table 8 describes the commands used to configure DNS.
Table 8: DNS Commands
Command Description
config dns-client add <ipaddress> Adds a DNS name server(s) to the
available server list for the DNS client. Up
to three name servers can be configured.
config dns-client default-domain <domain_name> Configures the domain that the DNS client
uses if a fully qualified domain name is not
entered. For example, if the default
domain is configured to be foo.com,
executing ping bar searches for
bar.foo.com.
config dns-client delete <ipaddress> Removes a DNS server.
nslookup <hostname> Displays the IP address of the requested
host.
show dns-client Displays the DNS configuration.
