About the FortiGate-30B
The FortiGate-30B provides a WAN port for connection to the Internet and three
integrated switch ports for multiuser environments in a small remote office. It is
ideally suited for remote offices, retail stores, broadband telecommuter sites and
many other applications.
The FortiGate-30B provides complete real-time network protection through a
combination of network-based antivirus, web and email content filtering, firewall,
VPN, network-based intrusion detection and prevention, and traffic shaping.

As a firewall for use in small offices, the FortiGate unit has a reduced feature set
to maximize its efficiency as a remote firewall appliance.
These features include:
• dynamic routing (BGP, OSPF, RIP, and PIM)
• virtual domains (VDOMs)
• virtual LANs (VLAN)
• high availability (HA)
• SSL VPN
• dual WAN fail over
• traffic shaping
• server load balancing
