Installing the Printer Driver for Microsoft
Windows
1. Close any screen saver or other software
programs that are open and running in the
background.
2. Insert Installation Disk #1 into the
computer’s floppy disk drive.
3. Click File in the menu bar off the Program
Manager window.
4. Choose Run in the File menu. The Run
dialog box appears.
5. In the Command Line box, type your
computer’s floppy disk drive designator
followed by HPSETUP. (For example,
A:\HPSETUP).
6. Click OK.
7. Follow the instructions on the screen.
Installing the DOS Printer Software
1. Close any screen saver or other software
programs that are open and running in the
background.
2. Insert Installation Disk #2 into the
computer’s disk drive.
3. At the DOS prompt (C:\), type the disk drive
designator followed by INSTALL. (For
example, A:\INSTALL).
4. Press the Enter key.
5. Follow the instructions on screen.
Notes Increasing system RAM may improve printing performance.
