NOTE: Disable SCSI Support before using ATA RAID Controller if present. Due to system
resource limitations, the Promise FastTrak100 TX2 IDE RAID controller is not compatible with
systems having SCSI capabilities. (The ATA and SCSI functionality cannot operate
simultaneously). You must disable SCSI support in Setup before you can use the RAID
controller.
To disable SCSI support, follow these steps:
1. Remove any installed SCSI HBA cards from the PCI slots.
2. Install the ATA RAID controller into PCI slot 1 and connect the IDE drives.
3. Turn on the system.
4. Press F10 to enter Setup.
5. Select Boot from the menu.
6. Select Boot Device Priority.
7. Select SCSI Hard Drive and press Enter.
8. Select Promise Fast Track Raid Controller \ HDD 0 and press Enter.
9. Press F6 to Save and Exit. Your system is now ready to use the ATA RAID
controller, but SCSI devices will not be functional.
