4. Create the third diskette for Novell 5.1 patch (HP disk NW patch). Choose the
correct link for your OS language version:
For an English-only version, click hp server tc2120 NetWare 5.1 (English
only version) processor patch.
For multi-languages or other languages than the English version, click hp
server tc2120 NetWare 5.1 (Non English only version) processor patch.
IMPORTANT: This Intel® Pentium® 4/Celeron Processor patch must be used when
installing the NetWare 5.1 operating system. HP also recommends checking the Novell
website for the latest patch information.
Section 2. Perform NetWare 5.1 Installation
The installation of NetWare 5.1 contains several phases:
Phase 1 – Start the Installation
Phase 2 – Install HP Drivers
Phase 2 – Configure the Network
Phase 1 – Start the Installation
NOTE: If your hard drive contains data or is not new, HP recommends backing up the data
and then using a utility such as fdisk to erase all data and partitions from your hard drive.
For NetWare 5.1 (Installing Pentium 4/Celeron Patch)
1. Boot your HP Server on a DOS bootable utility diskette.
NOTE: You can boot from the NetWare SBS 5 License diskette. Novell DOS 7 and all
required DOS utilities (fdisk, format, edit) are included on the diskette.
2. Type FDISK to create a 100 MB primary DOS partition on the primary drive
(C:). Remember to make it the active (bootable) partition. The computer
restarts and boots on the DOS bootable utility diskette again.
