If both LEDs are off, then the PC Card is not turned on and it cannot receive or transmit
data. This can be because:
There is no device driver installed
The card and device drivers are mismatched, preventing the device driver from
loading
There is a device conflict, preventing the device drivers from loading
If both LEDs are off, take the following actions:
Verify if a device driver has been installed. If not, install the device driver.
Verify the device settings of the PC Card to determine the occurrence of a conflict
with another device. If there is a conflict, change the settings of the PC Card or the
conflicting device.
Verify the versions of the device driver and the PC Card software.
Consult the IBM High-Rate Wireless LAN Web site at
http://www.ibm.com/pc
to see if software upgrades are available.

did not establish a wireless
connection with the wireless
infrastructure.
Contact the LAN
administrator to verify the
Network Name assigned to
the wireless infrastructure.
Contact the LAN
administrator to verify the
correct values of the
encryption keys.

administrator to verify
whether the network
infrastructure has been
closed.
Change the configuration of
your PC Card to enter the
correct Network Name.
If there are no access points
available, change the
configuration of your PC
Card to run in Peer-to-Peer
mode.
