FC 4Gbps PCI-X Adapter features

Preinstallation procedures
Before you begin the FC 4Gbps PCI-X Adapter installation, do the following:
v Read “Handling static-sensitive devices” on page 3.
v Read “What you need for the installation” on page 4.
v Write down the serial number of the FC 4Gbps PCI-X Adapter. Each adapter has
a unique serial number. If the nonvolatile random access memory (NVRAM) (also
referred to as NOVRAM) is damaged, the system prompts you for the FC 4Gbps
PCI-X Adapter serial number. Figure 1 on page 3 shows the serial number label
location.
