The ~ xSeries Rack Configurator (updated as required) is an application program that provides hardware compatibility with IBM NetBAY
racks and rack-mountable systems and subsystems. It provides configuration assistance with power and I/O cabling, UPS sizing, rack
component selection and positioning. It is recommended that all rack configurations be validated by utilizing this tool. It can be downloaded from
ibm.com/pc/europe/configurators and is supported by Windows 3.1 or higher, Windows 95/NT or Win OS/2.
The ServerProven Compatibility Web site (updated monthly) is found at ibm.com/pc/us/compat and contains compatibility information on
Options, servers and NOS as well as hot-plug, failover, clustering and other support. It is recommended that configurations derived from the
Configuration tools be checked for the desired NOS support by accessing this Web site.

The IBM Configuration and Options Guide (updated monthly) provides hardware compatibility for most currently marketed
~ xSeries
Servers and Options by IBM (OBI). It can be downloaded from ibm.com/pc/europe/configurators and viewed or printed using Adobe Acrobat
Reader Version 3.0 (www.adobe.com/prodindex/acrobat/readstep.html) or later. This tool does not contain pricing.
The IBM
~ xSeries servers and IntelliStation Sales Configuration Aid (updated every two weeks) gives full configuration and quote
functionality for currently marketed systems and options. The tool is available in Lotus123 and Microsoft Excel formats from
ibm.com/pc/europe/configurators. The Microsoft Excel version includes a Wizard interface for ease of use. Country selection of part numbers
and prices is available within the tool.
