Systems Management
Integrated System Management processor standard. Standard availability features include Automatic Server
Restart, Wake on LAN, Predictive Failure Analysis (PFA) on processors, memory, hard disk drives and blowers;
and error, temperature, voltage and blower speed monitoring. IBM Director software allows event management,
file transfer, inventory, process and resource management.
IBM Director is included with BladeCenter and each IBM eServer xSeries server. Additional licenses for IBM
Director client and server for non-IBM hardware are made available for charge.
In addition, the optional IBM Director v4.1 Server Plus Pack, which is available separately, consists of five
powerful, comprehensive tools for advanced server management to help optimize performance and maximize
availability. These tools, Capacity Manager, Software Rejuvenation, System Availability, Rack Manager and
Active PCI Manager, are tightly integrated with IBM Director for consistent management from a single console.
The IBM Director Server Plus Pack license(s) can be purchased as a single license or in quantities of 20, 50
and 100.
