2-in-1 and 4in-1 Copy Functions are possible via the electronic sorting feature.
The 2-in-1 feature enables the bizhub 180 to make a side-by-side copy from two
1-sided originals. The 4-in-1 feature copies four different 1-sided originals onto one
side of a single sheet of paper. It is also possible to make two-sided copies in the
2-in-1 and 4-in-1 modes.
CRISS CROSS SORTING/GROUPING
Criss Cross Sorting and Grouping is possible when the devices have paper loaded
in the crosswise and lengthwise direction. The copy image can be digitally rotated
to print multiple sets of copies stacked in alternating directions.
Criss Cross sorting is denoted when one set is stacked lengthwise on top of another set
stacked crosswise. Each “set” is collated in the proper numerical order or as the original
was placed on the document feeder for copying. If the original consists of 3 pages and
5 sets were requested, each of the five sets consists of pages 1, 2 and 3.
Criss Cross Grouping is when the copies are grouped lengthwise on top of another
group stacked crosswise. Each “group” represents a page of the original copied.
For example, if the original consists of 3 pages and 5 sets were requested, the first
“group” would be 5 copies of page 1, the second “group” would be 5 copies of page 2
and the third group would be 5 copies of page 3.
MECHANICAL SHIFT SORTING/GROUPING
Shift Sorting and Grouping requires the optional SF-501 Shift Tray. Sorted copy sets
are stacked in the same direction but arranged in a saw tooth style. This is accomplished
via the optional SF-501 Shift Tray which shifts each copy set to the right or left. Shift
Grouping copy sets are also arranged in a saw tooth manner.
Finishing Mode Document Output Method
Sort Shifts for every document set
Group Shifts for each group of copies
Non-Sort No shifting takes place. The order of the output is the same
as Group Copy Mode.
