RELIABILITY IN THE TRANSFER ROLLER
Two designs have been put in place in the predecessor models to improve the reliability
of the Transfer Roller. These designs are:
New Materials in the Transfer Roller
Transfer Voltage Monitoring System
The new transfer rollers contain smaller diameter forms that reduce the chances
of smudged printouts. The new materials also enable the roller to maintain the stability
of the printed images. This is a result of the roller’s consistently low resistance and
high durability.
The transfer voltage monitoring system switches the electric current of the transfer roller
when the voltage reaches its limit. The voltage limit depends on the black-and-white
ratio, paper size and paper type, therefore the voltage limit will vary. This monitoring
system prevents edge smudges, image voids and poor transfers and as a result yields
superior image quality.
DF-502 RELIABILITY
The reliability of the DF-502 has been achieved by maintaining the design
of the predecessor models:
Reduced Skewing Ratio
Keeping added Document Feeder Guide
The DF-502 Automatic Document Feeder’s central standard paper pass enables
the paper to be transported more equally when compared with previously used one-sided
pass. The accuracy and stability of this transportation process is maintained regardless
of the paper size, paper thickness or paper type. As a result, it reduces the skewing ratio.
A document feeder guide added to the side guide of the previous generation made
it easier to set originals for copying. This change has been carried through to the
DF-502. This simplifies placing curled documents in the automatic document feeder
and eliminates paper jams caused by curled paper edges.
